Time's Up! Let's Do This!

Here we go boys, it's gonna be summer in a couple hours.

I'm DONE with UNB for a month. Class starts on September 8th, I will not be back until then. While I'm over home I have a lot of thinking to do about what I want to do after graduation this coming year in terms of a masters or whatnot.

Looking forward to some good times at home, expecting to see Mr. Douglas Keefe there this weekend and Neil and others next week. Planning lots of fun family stuff, hoping for some good workouts at Summerside AFC at a new level I've never shown that place before. Gonna give the car a much needed wax and take care of a few details. Reading a new book called Wild At Heart about how men have a built in craving for adventure but our society makes us live boring lives.

If anyone wants me you know where to find me.

I thought this was funny as anything. It showed up on my neighbor's door. I assume the writing was done by the man who found the letter on his door. Don't know who the typist is. Some people. Posted by Picasa

How Do You Like Me Now?

Well it's time to do this up and let you all know the scoop.

As many of you know I spent this summer working at UNB planning to get a jump start on what would become both my senior project and my master's project. This week will be my 16th and final week of work.

I decree that I will NOT be continuing this work any farther. I will not be doing a master's on this project.

I could ramble on for hours about it but the simple truth is that my heart is not in it. I will be finishing my bachelor's degree this year and looking at options for after graduation. I feel pretty good about my chances of doing a master's degree in some flavor of engineering. I'm undecided wether staying in Fredericton should be seen as a good thing or a bad thing. Basically I'm going to be finding out where my heart lies and going there. Failing that, I'll find something productive to do around nice people.

Thought you all should know this.

Oh and to the boys boys boys. Heading home to PEI for the rest of the summer this friday. Any chance of another cottage weekend? I think I'm going to Rainbow Valley on the 20th with my family (NO we're not going for me, we're going because my aunt and uncle are taking their two boys there) so just keep in mind that day is probably a scratch. Well maybe not, but the afternoon is, the weekend is still possible.

I biked to work today and I got all sweaty. I'm dry now but I must admit I smell less good than I'ld like to.

I feel it's really tragic that rainbow valley is closing. I feel like a small part of me is going to die, all beat it a really really small part. In some ways it makes me wish I already had kids so they could enjoy it before it closes.

Clap for me!

I finished the last assignment for my online course. Ye-haw. All I have left is the exam and then I'm done of this course! I must say this assignment was actually fun too.

My course load this year looks pretty pleasant. So far:

First Semester
Thermo 2 + Lab for this
Solids
Senior Proposal

2nd Semester
Senior project
N.C. Machines
Law
Engineering Profession

I need one more technical elective in there and that should polish off the old undergrad. I seriously think I will look into the concept of the accelerated master's program where I do a course this year but count it onto my masters. I could even do something easy and count Biomechanics into my masters. Yip yip.

Frisbee Tomorrow night! Not sure how I'll squeeze the gym into my day but I have a feeling I'll try. Oh wait, I'll just go on my lunch break at work. That'll do it.
