Pretty Inappropriate
Well some good news. The bear dog has his check up on Saturday and he had gained about a pound and a half this month, bucking his recent trend in unexplained weight loss. The vet said there was no need to do blood work at this point because he seems pretty healthy and happy, except for the way he walks with a limp because when he saw me come to the cottage Friday morning I called him and he jumped off the deck which is about twice his height. And then he did it again a few minutes later for pretty much no reason. He also chases the neighbor's cat up a tree yesterday.
The vet commented that at his age jumping off objects taller than he is would be totally inappropriate. My parents explained that he's a little hard to control and the vet agreed, he's his own worst enemy.
She told us to start feeding him glucosamine sulfate pills to help his joints feel better. They're supposed to be for people and you get them in the vitamen section at the superstore.
Here's to you Bear, and many more wildly over ambitious welcomings to friends and strangers alike.
