New earphones damb it

Well today I finally did some work on my senior projy. I designed a pin for a bench press rack which allows for height adjustment to accomadate powerlifters with various lengths of arms. I actaully realized I like designing things. I do still like engineering.

I'm patiently awaiting the arival of my new earbuds. For those who haven't noticed I don't respond when you talk to me in head hall I'm usually listening to my Ipod Nano. A couple weeks ago my headphones started making crackling noises at certain frequencies. This was a major let down because before this I had toted these headphones as much better than what I was used to with my discman - the Apple headphones had less static in the background and seemed to give a clearer sound. I went to apple's website and looked into my waranttee to see what could be done as I had just recieved my ipod for Christmas and I thought the earphones should last more than two months. Luckily they have a program set up to handle this. You fill in an online request form and since ipod's all have a serial number on the back of them you don't even have to provide a reciept to prove you actually own one. They then ship your headphones to you via express courier and provide you with a tracking number for the parcel. My headphones have already made it from Ohio to halifax to moncton and should probably make it here today or tomorrow. Apple's system of making sure you're not screwing them for free stuff is as follows: You must provide a credit card number on the claim form. Apple send a pre adressed and postage paid package with the replacement part you order and you must send your old defective part back to them within ten days of recieving the new part (remember they have the tracking number for the parcel so they will know for sure when someone signs for the package). If you fail to return the old part they simply sell you the new part you already have recieved and bill your credit card. They only thing I'm wondering about is how I will get the package because I might not be here when the courier comes. I suppose he'll leave a tag in the mailbox saying where I can go to pick it up.

It's only about six weeks to Iron Ring. It seems so "soon ago" that it was six years.

Comments:
That one crackles. He's using my walkie, isn't he? The one you got me for my birthday. Remember that? My birthday?

I believe my new computer arrived today, but being in residence, someone else would be signing for it and I won't be able to get my hands on it until tomorrow. That's probably best; it will make getting this weeks electrical assignment done a whole lot easier if I don't have a wonderful new distraction.

Congratulations on doing some work on your senior project. You're now ahead of me. Do you think you'll pass in your first draft for March 13th?
